About the Artist
I’m Sonam Bansal, an Indian folk artist and educator with over a decade of experience in promoting traditional art forms like Warli, Madhubani, Kalamkari, and Pichwai. Alongside my professional journey as an IT project manager, I’ve nurtured a deep passion for reviving and teaching heritage Indian arts under my label Sonatamink through workshops, collaborations, and digital platforms.
What participants will learn?
- Introduction to the Warli art form – history, motifs, and cultural relevance
- Basic Warli elements: human figures, nature patterns, daily life scenes
- Step-by-step creation of a traditional Warli artwork
- Tips to incorporate Warli into modern crafts and décorthemes of harmony and community.
- Over time, Warli painting has evolved from wall murals to artworks on paper, cloth, and other mediums, gaining recognition both nationally and internationally.
- We invite you to immerse yourself in this rich cultural experience by attending our Warli Painting Workshop.

Material Required:
- A4 or A5 size drawing sheet (white or light-colored)
- Black gel/fineliner pen or sketch pen or Marker
- Pencil, eraser and rounder to draw circles
- Optional: Acrylic or poster colors & brushes (if participants wish to add color)
